H-Minus 21 - White Zombie

The Dead Walk Among Us!

Stranger things are happening than you ever dreamed of!

This is the real thing! Unbelievable, shocking, true thriller

Foul traffic in dead bodies

See them dug from the grave and put to work as slaves to murder!

She was not dead... not alive.

With These Zombie Eyes he rendered her powerless - With This Zombie Grip he made her perform his every desire!

This 1932 Bela Lugosi classic is a must see during the Halloween season.

Young couple Madeleine (Madge Bellamy) and Neil (John Harron) are coaxed by acquaintance Monsieur Beaumont (Robert Frazer) to get married on his Haitian plantation. Beaumont's motives are purely selfish as he makes every attempt to convince the beautiful young girl to run away with him. For help Beaumont turns to the devious Legendre (Bela Lugosi), a man who runs his mill by mind controlling people he has turned into zombies. After Beaumont uses Legendre's zombie potion on Madeleine, he is dissatisfied with her emotionless being and wants her to be changed back. Legendre has no intention of doing this and he drugs Beaumont as well to add to his zombie collection. Meanwhile, grieving 'widower' Neil is convinced by a local priest (Joseph Cawthorn) that Madeleine may still be alive and he seeks her out.

I love this movie so!

For my wedding I'm renaming the wines to spooky titles... I have a "White Zombie Zinfandel." Didn't even remember that there is a much more popular band by that name, and that only I would be conjuring Bela Lugosi.

Oh well! :)

My favorite Rob Zombie music is when he was with White Zombie, but even so when I hear the name I always associate it with the movie - unless music is the topic of discussion of 'course ;)

Congrats on your wedding! I approve of going with a spooky theme :)
