Fright was a one-shot horror title published by the old Atlas Comics way back in 1975 - the Son of Dracula character also shows up in some other atlas comics.
Dracula rescues a woman from being burned at the stake as a witch. He intends to drain the woman’s life when he notices her birthmark. As fate would have it, the woman was his fourth cousin which in some fubar vampire inbreeding sort of way will allow him to have a son or some such thing.
Now grown, this son of Dracula is Adam Lucard, a college professor. He leads a relatively normal life, and takes precautions to avoid turning into a vampire - but he is about to lose control...
